Sombra, the Spanish word for "shadow" is an extraordinary spirit produced in the small Mexican village of San Luis Del Rio. Wild Espadin Agave is hand-harvested and slowly roasted over a specially-crafted rock pit in order to absorb the rich flavors of earth and wood smoke. The agave is then crushed, fermented and distilled using traditional production methods. The bottle is composed entirely out of recycled glass collected from the surrounding area. Every piece is smashed into smaller pieces, heated, and poured into the bottle mold. Every bottle is a little different, each exhibiting its own unique details and qualities.
